| Grand Canyon Minority Supplier Development Council hosts 12th Annual Golf Tournament |
|
The Grand Canyon Minority Supplier Development Council will host its 12th Annual Networking Golf Tournament October 12, 2007 at the Legacy Golf Resort.
The Council, which serves the Latino, African American, Asian and Native American business communities, continues its revitalization with a new
statewide growth initiative called TEAMS (Total Economic Access for Minority Suppliers). The Council also reports a new
Board Chair in Robert Esquivel, Supplier Diversity & Development Supply Chain Manager with Arizona Public Service; and
a new Executive Committee for 2007. The council certifies and advocates for diverse businesses in Arizona.

| PR US Census Minority Population |
|
The nation's minority population reached 100.7 million, according to the national and state
estimates by race, Hispanic origin, sex and age released today by the U.S. Census Bureau. A
year ago, the minority population totaled 98.3 million.
"About one in three U.S. residents is a minority," said Census Bureau Director Louis
Kincannon. "To put this into perspective, there are more minorities in this country today
than there were people in the United States in 1910. In fact, the minority population in
the U.S. is larger than the total population of all but 11 countries."

a 3rd Year - Legacy Golf Resort
The Grand Canyon Minority Supplier Development Council will host
its 11th Annual Networking Golf Tournament October 13, 2006 at the
Legacy Golf Resort. The Council, which serves the Hispanic, African
American, Asian and Native American business communities, continues
its revitalization and upward mobility. The council certifies and
advocates for minority businesses in AZ.
Ron Williams, President/CEO of the Council, is pleased that the
celebrity professional athletes have agreed to join the council a
third year for a day of golfing, networking and fun. Williams added
that, Theses guys are business owners themselves and always willing
to participate in community and charity activities for a good cause.
Im all about crafting every creative opportunity I can for our
certified MBEs to get business. And with the great participation
of our committed corporate members, deals are definitely being made
on the golf course at our tournaments! Last years attendance
